Biography Marie Thurman (career) Live and Work in Paris After she graduated from the Fine Arts School of Paris with a degree in Sculpture, Marie Thurman moved to New York and studied Graphic Arts at the Pratt and Parson schools in order to round out her artistic training. Back to Paris and inspired by both her time spent abroad and American abstract painting, Marie Thurman embarked on a new terrain of pictorial research: color and its territories. Overall, she has participated in numerous exhibitions in France and in Europe. In May 2007, a monography representing a decade of her artwork was published by Art In Progress in Paris. Her paintings are also featured in the contemporary art collections of the Societe Generale, Nicolas Feuillatte Champagnes, and the Bon Marche. Marie Thurman currently lives and works in Paris.
Repères biographiques Marie Thurman (parcours) Vit et travaille à Paris Après l'obtention de son dîplome de sculpture de l'Ecole des Beaux Arts de Paris, Marie Thurman choisit de compléter sa formation artistique en partant étudier les Arts Graphiques dans les écoles Pratt Graphic Center et Parson School à New York. De retour à Paris, de l'influence de son séjour à l'étranger et de celle de l'abstraction de la peinture Américaine, Marie Thurman s'engage dans la recherche picturale : la Couleur et ses Territoires. Elle participe à de nombreuses expositions en France et en Europe. Une monographie de 10 ans de peinture a été publiée en Mai 2007 par les éditions Art In Progress à Paris. Ses tableaux sont présents dans des collections d'Art Contemporain à savoir : La Société Générale Les Champagnes Nicolas Feuillatte Le Bon Marché
